Lock Issues
Lock weirdness
'82 Euro
Have 3 keys.
ignition
doors
hatch
My passenger door lock is a bear -- I can get it to work but takes major fiddling
and then its real hard to turn.
my drivers side opens relatively easily -- however if you shut the door
too hard (sometimes not that hard) it will self lock.
I have to remember to never leave my door keys in the car (especially while running!)
I haven't looked to see if I have long keys or short ones.
At some point would like to get down to one key. But I settle for just
having the keys and locks that I have work properly.
Without have proper locks working -- the car is definitely not wife friendly :-)
Any solutions to the passenger stuck (how hard is it to remove?)
What's the issue with the "self locking" on door close drivers side?
thanks,
Mike

Mike-
Not sure on the self locking issue, but as for getting down to one key and "maybe" the cause of the difficult passenger lock has to do with the tumblers. The 928 lock (not sure if it's common with any other porsche) is relatively simple to take apart and re-key.
Lots of good info here.
