Default Archive of "Nuggets"?

Thanks to all who have posted to Rennlist 928 Forum in the past! You have helped me answer so many questions and saved me so much time and $$$$!

Search is a valuable tool, Pictures in the random 928 picture posts answer a lot of questions (and generate a lot also). BUT- is there a depository on Rennlist under the 928 Forum for things which are information nice to have, needed or very very hard to get otherwise? I don't want to cause expense to other members by requesting they send me information in hard copy , if it could be provided by such a depository. I do understand many members enjoy and relish the contact they have with other members directly.
Unfortunately we all will leave the list someday and our 928's will past to others to enjoy. As most in our families have no interest in those "nuggets" we have found about the 928 and it's care, in time that hard earned information will be lost.
An example: Jerry Feather generously offered to provided copies of the 5 or 6 pages of instructions on how to recover the instrument pod, along with copies of the patterns to Rennlist members who requested them. Why should he have to be out the expense of making the copies, buying the tubes and mailing them to those who requested them? I hope those who get the copies appreciated the effort he went to for them, I do and I didn't get one! A one time upload of a PDF or (.doc ) File would make items such as this, available in the future to all (members only?) who desire and it wouldn't be lost , such as when a web host goes belly-up or someone fails to renew a website. Using search I have tried going to some sites posted and have been redirected or informed" unable to find site". From previous experience on other forums I know that some try to save the nuggets they find when they see them. Do you have some?
How can these be archived on Rennlist or should they be? Should we poll to see if an archive should be added and would you have something to post there?

One of the smartest things you will ever do here is to do enough learning to figure out who to listen to and who not to.

As far as a archive of material, the best one to get is the WSM.

I would like to see us start to populate the 928 how to section..... I have several threads that I would be happy to organize and repost in the how to just so they are all in one place.... obviously giving credit to the original poster..

I'm sorry, Greg... but did you say something?

My guess is it had something to do with only buying Genuine Porsche parts... blah blah blah.

I recommend you learn to break your posts up into paragraphs so they are more easily readable.

That said, read the FAQ topic posted at the top of this forum and spend some time in the 928 DIY forum.

Finally, the Search function has many more features when you become a paid Member.
