Come on out. 928 not required. I had a great time at Sharktoberfest hitching rides in other 928's. 77Tony

All the regular places to stay are here. Probably biggest and nicest is the Marriott Waterway, stumbling distance from the GTG. There's also a new, small boutique hotel called AVIA, looks very nice and pricey. If you search, look for something close to The Woodlands Pavilion, The Woodlands Mall or Market Street, that's the area the GTG will be.

Thank you Jeff, I'll check on those accommodations. 77Tony

Take a look at the Hampton Inn in Conroe. Just off the highway and down the street-ish from Market Street.

Default Slight change of plans

Great to have some out of towners coming to our little gathering, you guys know there's no door prizes right?

We're thinking that our group will be too large for Jasper's bar area, so we're going to head different spot after the hour or so in the mall parking lot. The Woodlands locals have suggested a restaurant/pub on the "river" called Goose's Acre that looks really nice, so if you are late, head there...

There's a $2 parking lot on the other side of the river at the corner of Timberloch and Waterway ave.

Come on Down, Ole...I've got a couple three more friends in the safe since you were here last. We need to get Ratts down here and make a day of it.

Another last minute change... we just found out that Goose's Acre doesn't open until 6 tonight which is a bit late for us, and they also have a reduced menu due to a recent fire, so we'll head next door to Baker Street Pub & Grill. We've got a table for 20 at 5pm under the name Carter or Porsche.

Seems a good time was had by all......only problem was a semi-full parking lot at 4PM. But, we all found the bar on time (is that a surprise to any 928 owner?) and even though our reservations were for a bar 30 miles away they let us in anyhow. Must have the the fresh $100 bill Don had stuck in his lapel...

Tony gets extra points for his recruiting efforts...he found a hereto unknown new member of the Houston 928 group while checking in to his hotel (WELCOME to the MADNESS STEVE!) Tony and Herman get extra points for commuting distances...Herman from Dallas, and Tony from Rockport.....amazing what 928 owners will do just to get together with like kindred spirits and tilt a few and talk about cars.....also extra points for all the ladies who tolerate us and our various bad habits and joined in the conversation and fun!

Thanks to Don for setting this up and thanks to all who joined in to the fun....

Jeff's recomendation for the AVIA Hotel was perfect. The 2 young valet's asked me to park the GTS right out front because it looked "cool". Tambra loved the hotel and the Market Street area. It was great meeting some new folks, and thanks again Don for hosting this GTG. T&T
