Default S4 UCA Bushings..

How can you tell/test if fron UCA bushes are gone/soft?

Visually..they appear "fine"..but im chasing some bump & turning related wobble/compliance in the front end..that's originating in the corner that a bump is hit with..and it's transmitting all the way to the steering wheel.

Rack to wheel shaft Ujoint is fine..rack _seems_ fine...wondering about soft old rubber bushes??

Ya..thats not hard, but MUCH is too much, etc..its rubber, you WILL get movement..but..

This is chasing down a wobble in the specific corner up front..that in a high speed turn..if you hit a bump..it goes wibbly wobbly in that corner and that transmits to the steering wheel.

New rack bushes were 50% of the original problem, new inner/outer tie rods were 75% of the remaining wobble..

Lower joint tests solid..bearings, solid..

You cannot test with the suspension unloaded.

You need to have the suspension fully loaded and then have someone reef on the tire in/out while viewing it.
