When you start at $50k to $100k its a LONG way to the bottom, and its pointless to refer to "928's" with a wide brush, too much variation between model years, condition, and buyers desires. Even now we play the guess what its worth game here on the forum, and its plus minus 50%.
Over on Pelican someone just asked what they should expect to pay for a nice low mileage 5 spd 83 to 87 928, and I had to scratch my head trying to recall when was the last one I've even seen for sale.

Those other cars had a good run up in prices. Now prices have fallen as the 'bubble' has deflated (bubble may be too strong of a word, IDK). Depending on the year, 928 prices have continued their gradual decline or have held steady with a few of the more collectable cars possibly increasing in value. Pretty similar to the real estate market in some of the areas which didn't benefit from, but then also weren't hammered, by the real estate bubble.
I do think that 928s seem to be getting more attention than they were five years ago, so it's possible that prices could go up for decent examples.

Sorry you didn't win, Tony. It's funny, I bet an AMC Pacer with 5K miles would fetch more than this 928.
I see one of the DeLorean's from Back to the Future just sold for a half million ( http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2011/...00/?test=faces ) Wonder if the Risky Business, Weird Science, Scarface cars will ever be that much? Okay... probably not.
