How do you take this cover off ?
Fixing some leaks in the transmission lines and changing fluid/filter.
I have the leak around the o-ring seal on my 84 Auto transmission on the drivers side, but I'm not sure how to take the cover off.
It's spins but doesn't seem to be threaded ( or is it?).
How do you remove this cover?

That is the governor cover. It will just spin if you turn it. Clean all the grease etc. from the area really good. Push the cover in on the raised tab and remove clip, then cover. After replacing seal, push cover in, install clip then pull cover back against clip.
