Default To Tailpipe and Bertranddaoust - heater blower

Thanks for your help, guys. Did you have to remove the hood and perform other extensive disassembly to accomplish the lube of the busing?

Is the blower cantilevered off the front of the motor or ia it held at the end with the bushing?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Not if your just lubing it I even drilled a hole in the one side of the housing on mine and sprayed lube in that way too they seem to sieze up of they sit for a decade or so. The motor sits inside a bulge in the center of the squirrel cage all mounted from the top. I don't remember taking the hood off to remove it but it would be easier you will have to remove the metal trim piece that goes across the front of the windshield as well its held in with two screws under the windshield side trim and the two window wiper mounts. there is one mounting screw on the top down at the bottom and another screw for the motor housing inside the footwell i usually don't put that screw back in just wipe the hole with silicone to reseal it. the fan unit is a very tight fit going in and out take your time and find just the right spot. sometimes it helps to remove the top piece its just a cover. I didn't think it was a hard job just alot of little fiddling around.
good luck

Paul

I couldn't get the blower out from the top - but it dropped right out through the bottom when I removed the recirc box.
