Default Rear window defrost help

I am leaving for Portland OR on Tuesday for T-Day and I just noticed that
the rear window defrost heating element is not working. The dash **** lights up
when turned on but nothing happens in the back. Is this most likely the relay
I-II? If it is... I have 24 hours to fix it. Is this a part that is easily sourced? I can life with out it and but it would be nice to have it work since it looks like a 10 hr drive in the rain. I have search the forum and I can't find anything specific.

( I'm trying like hard to pass Bill Ball's 239,000 mi - 138,500 to go

Could be the relay, you should check of you van hearing in click when turning the defrost on.
It is easily replaced, don't know of in is easily sourced where you are at.

if you are handy with electronics you could try to fix the relay, you can search my previous postings if you need a diagram.

Cheers

turn on the switch then go to the window and see if there is any power reaching the red wires,
also check that the its reaching the brown wires its possible either the wires have fallen off the window connections or more probable the fitting have been broken off the window.
There is more info about checking the window grid in the WSM

Expensive relay circa $200 - used from Mark would be a good option.
