Well - no.

I do not have any more of the grey ones - well just the one extra one, and I only have a limited supply of the connectors I used to make the pigtails. These were just a set I used for a while before converting to black ones. The ultrasonic one is for a little alarm expansion project - someday when I have more time.

Roger has the VW pigtails - easy to add the full insulated male quick connects. You can get the fixtures from Roger or look for used online (ebay UK is a good used source - more avail than ebay USA) - you won't be likely to see the pigtails used online though.

If you have a good scrapyard nearby you might be able to get all you need - or go to VW dealer (prices all over the map though - Roger likely is cheaper)

Alan, thanks very much for the wiring info. I checked mine and the wires were correct just needed to tweek the switch part to get it to function correctly. It's nice when everything works as designed, thanks.

Donald,
That does not in any way help my daughters education fund 8>)

Alan,
What is the correct LED to use in these lights please?
I tried one but it kept poping out of the holder.

Roger I modified mine to fit the stock length Porsche festoon bulbs - then used the equiv LEDs I already had...

You can modify the bulb holder spring end after you partially diassemble the holder. I preferred this to finding smaller LED bulbs because brighter LED bulbs were available in the larger lengths - AND I already had them...

Not hard you just bend the spring end with a little fold to shorten the length.

Rob - I found some more raw connectors tonight and modified them to fit and made up some pigtails for the small lights too.

I was just clearing the market of cheap, crappy ones. Besides, I have to buy pigtails now!

Roger, I used the Superbright 3710-xP3: 3 High Power LED Festoons in Warm white. Used the same LED under the hood in Cool white. They fit the 5 VW lights you sold me a few months ago with no modifications. I did try a few other LED festoons, and these provided the best light IMHO. Tony

Just some followup pics on these, I taped these up today and hit them with some SEM self etching primer and then some trim black. Gonna have to figure out how to remove the lenses from the little ones non-destructively, to cure the two-tone look, didn't think too clearly about those, did I....

Yep, but these were significantly cheaper than buying new, and had been modded with pigtails and different lamp contacts so they fit the standard 42 mm festoon bulbs found in the stock 928 units. I already have a bunch of the 42 mm LED bulbs, so the plug 'n play aspect was more important to me than having to paint them.

Rob - glad its all working out... so you will just sub those non-switched small ones in the door panels?. If I was recovering my door panels - I'd do the same.
