84 no stop or tail lamps turn works
Trying to help via phone an 84 with rear lamp issues. No rear stop lamps, no tail or side markers. I am looking at an 83 and 84 current diagram and want to confirm input pins.
Lamp module should have 12v and ground including a trigger voltage when car is started that shuts off the dash lamps. What I see is the 84 uses the crank sensor the 83 uses the alternator field change. since my diagrams list the 84 as a crank sensor us model this cannot be correct.
The 4-way flasher work, connections to rear lamps and rear grounds are good, the column ground is attached. I see a seven pin connector in the diagram but not sure where it is located. Any hints on what to check, It seems that the lamp unit controls this function so trying to eliminate the obvious first before replacing the unit. The car has been worked on so no telling what has been disturbed.

check the bulb controller at the right side of the passenger parcel tray,
remove the connector and see if its corroded,
check the grounds in the hatch area

There is no crank sensor on a US 84. You're looking at the Euro diagrams again. I hate it that the WSM's are spotty for the US cars in that regard.
