I believe it is actually a compression ring. It is the 2nd one down from the crown of the piston. It can be used. Also it is a stock size. This engine only has 55k on the clock. Since I was re-building it, I was removing the pistons one at a time, removing all the rings, cleaning everything and re-assembling them. Was going great till this one.

Well, I was re-assembling the engine in my 86.5 with much care and believe it or not, managed to break the 2nd oil ring on the 6th piston. Damn, only 2 left to go and now this. Anyone know if you can buy just the one ring? Anyone have one handy that they would be willing to part with?

It is for an 86.5 32v.
