RMB or Cat Bypass?

I have an '85 and have passed emissions 3 times by a wide margin. Even with just a cat and no smog pump. Believe it or not, a 928 in good working order with all emissions equipment intact is incredibly clean. It will pass with numbers that can put much newer cars to shame. I view the bi-annual emissions test as a way to get a crude diagnostic test done at a bargain basement price. Some components break down gradually and don't produce driveability issues over night. And because the drop in performance is so gradual, you think everything is fine until you get smoked by a 6 cylinder Camry. The emissions test can pick up on these issues long before your *** dyno notices. That's why I continue to do it. Then again, I also calculate my gas mileage on every fill up.
