Which water sealant is paint friendly?
Like the title says, I'm looking for paint friendly sealant.
I took the wing off and noticed that the clearance between the wing studs and the holes in the hatch is virtually none. When putting the wing back on, it wasn't going on easily, and the stud thread must scrape the inside of the hole. It doesn't take much to take paint and primer off, exposing bare metal. If water sits around there, it will develop rust.
So I was thinking to add a bit of sealant around the hole. Which sealant is paint friendly? I currently have Dow corning 111 and 3M body caulk strips. Maybe Vasline?
