bent drop links.....

Default bent drop links.....

I encounter an odd situation at the Lemons race this weekend.....I was running the adjustable drop links from 928gt that I got from Sharky's 1st owner way back in 2005......after the race the drivers side rear drop link was bent and looked like this

I asked the guys at the race shop about how to fix it....then it came to me....why not get a small piece of steel tubing that has an ID or the same size as the OD of the drop link, slip it over and weld it in place.....race shop said sure....and this is what I ended up with

I do wonder what the driver hit to do that?

Nothing.

Its far too long & thin for the use intended.

It bent.
