My old 82/94 Gts was back to visit me, I noticed both front tires had the inside rubber had worn down. The local alignment shop checked it today saying the alignment was correct and it is the rack and pinion steering that is causing this. The front end is mostly new and tight so I think they just blew him off.
I told the owner to drive it after purchasing new tires 3-months ago first before he did the alignment. He decided not to take my advise and had it aligned at the same time. He said they pulled it down before the alignment, I think they screwed up.
So my question is is there different alignment specs for an 82 using S-4 suspension or should he find another shop and do it over?.

My 82 track car has a full S4 front suspension...and it was aligned to S4 track/de specs (with a little street driving)..Probably have about 2000 miles on it and the fronts are wearing fine.

what is the ride height set at?
if its below 155 you will have tire wear issues,
also make sure the inner and outer tie rods are fresh
