Default '86.5 track car for sale

313 rwhp SAE, 2900 lbs w/o driver! (321 DIN, 1315 KG)

Well prepared by the last two owners, now well tuned and mechanically improved with PorKen products. 110K miles (ish, bad odo gear, fixed). Street legal. Amazingly quick and fast. Smooth. (100 feels like 50.) No-Lift-Shift for incredibly fast shifting.

Drive it anywhere. Just returned from a 2000 mile round trip to Sharktoberfest 2011 (plus fun run), with zero problems, and no oil usage (constant 80+mph). Shifts nicely, very stable at speed. (Tested many times to >140 mph.) Passes tailpipe emission test easily with stock cats installed (will not pass a visual). MPG: 16 city/23 hwy (higher w/stock cats).

I really, really, wanted a track car for many years. After finally getting one, then fixing and tuning it well, I realized I'm never going to get to the track, and I'm not going to be able to drive it comfortably on the street during our PacNW winter. (I'm going to get another 5-speed -?-, which is a little more comfy. )

In short
'86.5!
2900#!
313 rwhp!
5-spd/LSD!
No sunroof!
Track ready!
Needs nothing!

Minor dents (difficult to see)
Unsightly rear fender 'rolling'
Rear bumper cover has cracks
PS whines when cold (oil foaming)

It's a track car, fuhgeddaboudit

WP0JB0921GS862824

You certainly can not build it for that !!!!! That is a LOT of race car for very little money, spec Boxsters start at $25,000, Spec 944s bring $12,000 or so. The cage alone is $2,000 or more !!!

VERY NICE.....great price too for anyone on the fence to get into race 928's..... It would cost me over $5k to replicate the $500 "lemons" racer I have now and thats at only 200whp....not 313 like this one!!!! plus the added bonus of a 5 speed with LSD....

IF........................I didn't have to invest so much into this weeks lemons race...I would seriously consider this....but there is just no way to pull it off now.... :>(

For the new guys...it'll depend what you call race.

That car, is so far into Super Unlimited territory for the larger sanctioning bodies, it would be crazy to attempt actual competition.

Otherwise, it a helluva open-track car..damn quick.

Ken gave me a ride in this bullet recently at SF 11 from the hotel to 928 Intl, and it runs great. Ken has it dialed in nicely, and it's track ready. 77Tony
