getting coolant in #8 spark plug well 83s ?
I have noticed my 928 running a little rough and feeling like it is down on power so I did a tune-up with cap, rotor, plugs and wires, and when I was taking out the number 8 spark plug I realized it was wet in the plug well with coolant.
What would cause coolant to get in the #8 spark plug well, it looks like there is a small round hole in plug well like it could be a weep hole of some sort?

The hole at the base of #8 plug recess is where a bolt ends from a water jacket blanking plate. The threaded hole going through into the plug hole is normal.
Water in the plug recess could be from a crack of the plug barrel through to the water jacket behind.
Dry the plug recess out, and then pressure test the cooling system, and you should be able to see where it's coming from.
Let us know the result.

Yea, I guess a pressure test is the next step to see exactly where it's coming from. I was just wondering if there was another possibility besides a crack.

Another thought ....
It could be a leak in the gasket of that blanking plate, feeding water to the bolt, then down the thread to the spark plug hole.
You're still going to have to pressure test the cooling system to get to first base on diagnosis, no matter what the problem is. Coolant is escaping and you need to observe when the system is under pressure to find out where.
