I was just researching all of this today. Coincidence? It was suggested to me to use Redline 75w90 ns gl-5 and 75w90 gl-5 with a 3 to 2 ratio. I am driving
a 1986.5 5 speed with LSD. Approx. 70 k on car. I am located in NH. Any thoughts or comments would be helpful.

Mine leaked with Mobil1 to a point at one time I had to add a container every month.... it just might be fickle seals or the mix of rubber that reacts to different oils

Redline recommends straight 75W-90NS (which contains a small amount of friction modifier) for our transaxles. If you are still getting chatter with straight 75W-90NS they recommend adding 1 to 1 1/2% friction modifier (about an ounce). Straight 75W-90NS did the trick for me and cured the "chatter" in my '89.

Redline in the P-Car and Valvoline Syn in the F-Car. F-Car folks says Redline was found to be foaming.

The one Redline makes. I didn't need any additional friction modifier, so I didn't have to buy any - not sure exactly what they call it - other than "friction modifier."

Did the REdline blend in my 83/LSD, was an improvement.

Still sounded a bit like a Muncie when cold, miss that...
