I have Conti Extreme Contact DWS on my shark as I drive it year round here in NW Arkansas. We get the odd day or two below +15F here in the winter and the occasional 5-6" of snow so I needed an all season performance tire that could get me home if I did get caught out in the snow. I don't intentionally take the 928 out when it is snowing however. While they don't perform as well as a true summer performance tire I have been every please with the overall performance and ride for the price. Tire Rack has them for $137 each.

Michelin All Season Pilot sports.......quiet and handle well with long tread life.

Might be on the pricey side for you though.

I really like the two sets of cheapo Hankooks I have bought, when it comes time for a set on the Corvette it is getting a set also.

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus

I have them on my 81 right now and my mother is on her 2nd set on her Jaguar (175k on the odo). Super quiet, stick in the rain, last long enough they get replaced due to age rather than tread depth.

Tire Rack has the fuzion ZRi at CLOSEOUT price of $117 in that size. Had them on the 84 and now have them on the GTS and love them; especially in the rain.

Performance per dollar, it's hard to argue with the Sumitomo HTRZ-III's. I put a set on my wife's MB. Half the price of the Pilot Sports which it used to have, and honestly slightly better overall performance. Downside: Not much snob appeal.

Also happy here with the HTR ZIII's on the stroker. 4000 miles and there's still a lot of tread on the rears.
