Long trip tools to bring along
Hi guys,
Almost last minute preparations for a 500 miles round trip to Frenzy and back. What is a must have tool kit to take along just in case? I recall reading something like this a while ago, but can't find the old thread now... All I recall is an extra quart of engine oil... What else I might need besides the standard 928 tool kit and Hagerty's tow plan?
Thank You!

We have the AAA Premier service which will tow once per year up to 200 miles and 3 shorter per year for BOTH me and my wife for about $200 per year....One way or another I seem to use it with all the old cars I tend to drive around from time to time. And nice to KNOW I can get the old very brown 928 home from the track no matter what happens as long as I am not more than 200 miles out !

Considering I-278, I recommend a Glock. I prefer model 21
In the spare tire area, I have a small roll of duct tape to fix a hose, a couple different size hose clamps in case one breaks, a fuel relay jumper, and a couple rags in case I need to remove the radiator cap or something. +1 on AAA (or ADAC as it's called here).
^^^ Damn, Jeff. Nice avatar!

fuses, relays, and fuse/relay chart for your year 928.
Oil 1 qt
Check under the car for leaks and loose belly pan mounting screws.
Air pressure, look at your tires for nails etc.
Food/drinks for the trip in a 928 cooler
Go and have fun

500 miles should be a nice little cruise. If car not ready, don't go.
Your tow hook and your advisement if necessary.
E clips for light linkage, but they're already in the glove box.
Some say Glock. I say Beretta.

Seems like half of this board does 500 mile joy rides on daily basis Car is ready to go, still it won't hurt to bring a few things that might be needed on the road...
