Finished plywood air damn + front splitter
I was initially going to just throw a splitter on without an air dam but it would have been absolutely useless at 7" above the ground, so I bit the bullet and made an air dam too...
Ended up using plywood because its cheap, easily replaceable, and it wont mangle your tires+vital undercarriage stuff as badly as aluminum if (when) you have an off... and its what top gear used on their BMW enduro racer
The 4 front supports are 5/16 turnbuckles from home depot racing, with an additional 2 bolts under the car attached to a custom made frame brace. Currently, the ride height is set high so the car will clear my driveway but when lowered, it should be right around the 3" mark. It holds my weight (180) with no problem so in theory it should hold up well and generate a million lbs of downforce.... Anyway, here's what it looks like.

Um...is that a big block in there? No wonder hood doesn't close. Whats holding it up in terms of shocks/springs?
Oops, now saw signature. You've got it pretty light, knew that must've been the reason for axing the headlight washers. So is it a track car?

I see splinters in your future.....
I like it. I'd paint those support rods black myself.
So is it a track car?
As for the progress blog, I've been lazy and havent updated it in about 6 months. Springs are 850 front and 650 rear, shocks are koni reds

I'm offended...not as a 928 owner, but as a carpenter. Why not a better baltic birch plywood? Why not a smoother finish with palm sander and 120 grit? Maybe a rubber nosing strip over a routered edge? Bigger brackets from stainless steel.
If it stays put, I am OK with it. It is for a track car. Mark Anderson has plastic mulch edging from Home Depot as an air dam.
