I have -2- pinhole leaks, on the back side of the radiator, at the bottom, in what appears to be the seam between the core and the end tanks.
One on each side.
Been chasing down a leak I could NOT find, and bought a cooling system pressure tester..everyone should have one I suppose.
And set to pressure, slow drips out from those two areas.
No damage anywhere, and this is a 928Int radiator that's just shy of a year old. I registered my car on 9/28/10 and the OEM rad blew a tank about a month after that.
I know..I need to ask 928int if any warranty applies..but..I really cant be down the car for a few weeks to manage that..unless I have to...and pay to ship that sucker too.
Am I gonna burn in hell for using stop leak?

Stop leak might work. Let 928 Intl know what is up, tell them your situation and tell them you want to use stop leak ... ahead of doing it. This way you could fix the leak, enough to go to Fest, then replace when you get home. Or, Acetone and JB weld it, then stop leak and then replace it. Just let 928 INTL know ahead of time. Changing your radiator shouldn't take an hour.

Im HOME, but cant go.
Ive been ask to do some flying with the CAP during fleet week..which amounts to a few dozen hours of free flight time in a very expensive plane to rent..which also gives me coast guard access in the bay to the airshow as well. It was a tough decision..but wifes dad that flew Navy is coming out to fleet week for the first time, so I gotta do the right thing..both will be super fun events.
But if you're coming from Texas..you wont see San Jose...

Another reason to GO to fest..they can fix me up while I wait. *grr*
I gotta have a deep talk with the Gods via Appleton's Reserve Rum about this...again.

I lived in Norcal for 15+ years, and never went.
You don't know what you've got, until you lose it.![crying](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/bigcry.gif)
EDIT: Jim, you coming to TX in November again?

If you can change a radiator, you can change an end tank as well. I did a write up on it two years ago, and it can be done with simple hand tools in about 2 hours.

If its solid alu, you ought to be able to solder it (if you drain the water first). Or find someone with a MIG and let them hit the spot for a hot second and it'll seal up fine, no replacement necessary. I would advise against repairing it in-car though. Pull it since youll need to drain the water anyway.

Jeff I am sending you out a bottle of approved sealant from C&R. They claim it is what GM puts in all new cars. If this does not solve the problem we will replace it and send yours back to C&R.
I'm sorry for your inconvenience.

^^^^ There you go.
BTW Mark. I have one of your aluminum radiators in my car that Ron Perry had put in. It has two fittings that are on the driver side that are open to the air. Look like they would be oil cooler fittings or something but my car has the oil cooler down under the radiator. Do I need to worry about them or just leave them open or what? Also, where is the drain plug?
