Default Interesting GT issue

There is a person looking to sell a 91 up this way, 76k on the clock, she said it was a GT but also said it was an auto box. I know that no GTs were autos - all were manuals. Our local PCA pres did a search of the vin on a service called Scousers vin decoder (never heard of it), and it shows the car as a 91 GTS with a 5.4 liter engine. The vin is WP0AA2921MS810216. Unless I'm missing something, this vin decoder service is bunk. There were no 5.4 l engines in 91, and no US GTS's until 93.
Anybody have anything different from what I know?

PET say it's a 91S4 with M28.42 engine (stock 5 liter AT engine) and the A28.16 4 speed automatic..

Nothing unique as far as options:
side moldings
sunroof
I158
I400
I498
I570
I980

It's the mystery car that's missing in Chuck's registry:

assuming it's in good shape, what would it be worth? I may make a pitch for it.

edit: it's red/tan interior. I've seen no pics, have no service histroy. Assume normal service has been done. Assume I can do all rubber replacement, top end refresh, etc.

Actual value = hard to determine b/c no history and you haven't seen it. Tops would be $12K. Penalty for misrepresenting the car $3K, so your offer is $9K. Doesn't matter whether the seller had knowledge or was misinformed, the seller is responsible for knowing what they have, else what are they basing their price on? Or are they waiting for your offer?

Seriously, you should be rewarded for knowing more about it than they do, but you are still left looking at a car w/o a history. What do you think its worth? You are making some serious assumptions.

Also, seems odd the PCA rep is using that source when people here know how to find official information.
