Now with the new tranny on the lift raise it up to near position and then release the locking strap for installing and tighten when removing.

Please note the lifting crank is facing the front of the car. I also used two strips of drywall as the balance points and to raise the back of the transmission.

Now I started out with it facing to the back, but found that I could not cleanly support the transmission against the torque tube.Screaming at my camera because I can't get the pictures out. This also allows me to use the tilt angle on the lift plate to get a better scope and contact points under it. You will need to decide your best angle of attack.

When you have the alignment perfect, the torque tube and transmission will separate or join together with only mild effort.

Because I am able to carefully lower the transmission during removal and attachment, access to bolts five (5) and six (6) easy.

Two shots with different lighting.Screaming at my camera because I can't get the pictures out.

Three important notes in these photos:

1) There are these little loops for hanging your brake calipers on (I also used two sheets of drywall to full the gap between the pads during their stay while hung.

2) Loosen the shocks to allow them to swing down for easy movement under the car.

3) my love of drywall as an oil absorber and gliding surface. I placed each of the rotors on a 12" square board for sliding.

The coolest picture of me bench pressing from a reverse lift of the sub frame with my face bursting red and screaming would have been priceless; however, this was followed by carefully pulling a jack stand to where my right hand was with twine and teeth. I don't suggest this, but I was not going to let this get the best of me alone. So this is Tuesday morning when I can type again as the pain in my shoulders/arms/chest have stopped now

More photos to come on the bolt up and unbolt process.

Epic description of the jackstand move. I got lucky, a friend happened to stop by at the same time I was putting mine together.

Great idea on the drywall. Easily formed and easily disposed of.

I remember that Sean had memtioned that he left the clutch in, so I called him. Here's what he told me to get at Northen Tool. $15.95 universal/socket set http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...5076_200415076. They're not SnapOn, but they did the trick.
Is the access to the top bolts restricted more in the manual than the automatic? I had zero issues getting the top bolts out of my automatic. Socket fit right in.

I didn't have any issues removing those bolts on my GT.

One of the things I am searching for is a supply of M10 and M12 all-thread.
Four (4) pieces which are 15 cm and six (6) pieces which are 30 cm.

Pieces were looking good, thanks for providing the 'patient' for Greg's tea leaf reading session.

The problem with the first pictures is I could not get them out of the camera raw, so I took a picture of the picture in one of those display frames. Once I can get the originals out of the camera, I will replace the ones posted.
