I have two sayings about screwing this up; one for solder and one for crimping.
Solder: "The bigger the glob, the better the job."
Crimping: "Lean into it, it'll release."

I kept screwing up the tiny Northern states.

I was like "Up North, somewhere".

No kidding. My jaw hurts after a few crimps. That's why I want a nice crimper like we use at work.

Looks like at least fifty bucks needs to be spent to get a ratcheting crimper that'll last a handful of years.

Heat the joint, not the solder.

Can't think of anything better than use the right size die and pull on the crimp.

I watched a video on Youtube last night. The dude was using this exact wire stripper. He was able to cleanly strip four wires at the same time. Very cool design. The tool has crimp slots, too. Looks like the leverage design is efficient. *sore jaw* Great price, too.

As I'm doing a bit of rewiring work on my shark, thought I'd resurface this post. Very helpful for options regarding wire repair.
