We have plenty of Silverstar for $17.23 each and Silverstar Ultra for $20.68 each.

How about these, Bob?

Sorry to hijack, Rog.
The Silverstars are more blue than red (higher color temp) compared with stock but dont draw the excess current. They are readily available from POLAPS, (Pep Boys and Advance Auto carry them), and there are H-3 Silverstars for fogs and aux main beams.

The high-wattage bulbs I've used in the past depended on 13.8 volts to make their rated output. A little over 7 amps each for 100w filaments. That's enough to melt standard h5/9004 sockets on my car. In the 928, I put quick-disconnects on the wires and kept spare sockets and bulbs with me, 'cuz I was changing them a lot.

No worries Kenny as your stuff is already in the box for the morning.
Now all you need to do is beg a drive in Hermans GTS.

EIS arrived yesterday; I'd go install it but it's been monsooning for the last 48 hours and I've no interest in turning my 928 into an actual U-Boat. Looks very nice in the box, though.
