Progress on my first 928
Well she's in the garage and all cleaned up. Have not done much so far, but here is a breakdown.
The driver seat is now fixed, the left side flex drive shaft was just un-plugged. Passenger side will still not go forward, will take apart the switch and inspect and clean the contacts.
Tonight I went through the fuses and relays with a fine tooth comb, here is what I found.
Fuses:
#6 Light: Button Panel, Light switch = no fuse, is this used in my 85s.
#11 for the rear window wiper should be a 7.5 but had a 10 in it.
#13 Supplementary AC should be 15 but had a 25 in it, but I don't get this one, is it used?
#19 Rear defroster should be a 25 but had a 30 in it.
#25 Headlamp washing should be 25 but had a 20.
#26 Tailgate release had a 3 in place of a 1.
Relays:
Everything looks good here, except it looks like the power window relay was replaced at some point.
Red wire A is for an old autopage alarm that is mounted under the steering column. Whoever installed did a chooch job, it's coming out.
Grey fuse holder B, is just loose and cut off. I wonder what it was for, will have to trace the wire.
I broke the two plastic tabs on the sunroof motor cover, doh! Will have to fix that later.
I got the proper size battery in now, the old one was loose and would not hold a charge.
Interior all cleaned up, 0 issues here (minus the sunroof thing I messed up). I have moisturized the leather twice now and looks amazing, no need to recover anything.
Tomorrow I'm going to start dismantlement for the TB and WP, once I get in there I'll be talking to Roger to get parts.
Oh and I noticed that the car has plugs from rustproofing, probably Krown. I assume that is not stock. As soon as she is road worthy I will get her sprayed again. Any thoughts?
Oh and after the TB job I will get under and release the built up pressure on the thrust bearing.
Then she is going to go into storage until next year. I though of waiting till next year to do the TB, but I just don't want to risk the short drive to my mom's house, with my luck the freaking belt would snap as I rolled into her driveway!
I know the car was only driven 1000k in 2009 and nothing since, so I'm sure the belt is on it's way out. 4-5k per year prior to 2009. And no service records.
Any way that is my story so far.

The relay with the red arrow pointing to it in your photo is the relay for the windows/sunroof. That is what the OEM relay looks like, black plastic, not a replacement.
