Default NewbieQ

Hi all.

The name is Jørgen, and I`m from Norway.
I just bought a 1981 US spec 928, about to pick it up early next week.
I have got a 4,7 S engine on my hands, but here is the Q:
The way I understand the 4,5 got a L-jetronic, and the 4,7 has got the K-jetronic?
So, what to do here? Is it possible to use the L? If so, what mods does it need? I`m pretty sure the extra bhp`s will need some more fuel
And what about the gearbox, is it a straight swap between the 2 engines?
Any information regarding this swap will be appreciated..!

I got a feeling this will not be my last questions here. Good discussion forums are invaluable

Thanks in advance!

Jørgen

hi welcome along...i havent done this convertion but the k jetronic on the engine you are fitting is basically mechanical so once all the injection parts are present on the 4.7 it needs little more than fuel pressure to run, and its self regulating on the air fuel mixture.i have a euro 81 4.5 and have been all through the k jetronic injection system on it.
