Has anyone used one of these yet?

I would think that the variations in the power supply to the relay when in the car would make this tester less than 100% accurate. It would no doubt indicate completely dead relays might not do well with marginal relays.

and it will not work with the several specialized relays used in 928's...those with electronics in the case....it will only test normal on off type relays

Those with timers, delays, latching electronics and the like will not test.....

You can accomplish about the same thing by applying your battery voltage across the relay coil terminals, and then measuring the reistance across the switched terminals using a shop VOM. Should be zero ohms when "closed" The pictured tester makes it easier, but it is too limited in my opinion in its capabilities to justify $72 price.....or for that matter $45

Actually for Porsche 928 stock relays this only words with the std. '53 SPST Bosch relays - given these are so cheap I'd say just lay in a suppy (Tyco makes the closest to the originals - having bought-out the Bosch relay business).
