I've been converted: no more 0W-40
Recently changed from three years of 0W-40 to 5W-50. Oil pressure is better at high temps and the the engine runs smoother. 10W/15W-50 would probably be better still but I wanted oil which is readily available where I live. So: bye-bye 0W-40. No more for me.

Which brand of 5W50 did you select in your part of the World? FYI, Mobil 1 is "Porsche Approved".

Mike, call 800-628-7231 and ask Petroliant for a local branch near you, or order from this location. You'll need to set up an account. Easy to do.

I use Mobil 1 since the zinc and phosphorus values are known. Other brands either had lower values or unnown values.

Mike, I just ordered a case (6 quart bottles) this morning. Price with tax is $40.91 ($6.82/quart) for local pick-up. I use this in my 987S.
