Bowden Cable Ball end repair - anyone done this?

Wow!
That is an excellent remedy and fix. Wish I could drop on something like that over here in the UK. I will search some of the cycle shops tomorrow as they may have something I can use.

Otherwise I will have to look into making something up from scratch.

I just took the slack out of the auto cable (I thought it was called Bowden too, learned something this evening) on my 89 TBF car, and man what a difference it made. I actually like this 89 tranny now. Much more fun to drive. I was getting a slip or flared shift between 2nd and 3rd and now it's shifting perfectly, and stays in low gears longer.

Nice fix on the ball by the way...
