Default Quick question--

Hey all

I sloshed a bit of brake fluid on the side of the engine when I was replacing the grommets for the reservoir today. Not a ridiculous amount, but let's just say "enough". I did as much wiping up as i could reach. After I finished I poured a bit of warm very slightly soapy water over the spill area to break it down a bit.

Didn't hit the paint or anything, should I be good to go?

And BTW, the old grommets virtually decomposed in my hand. Oy.

Thanks in advance!

Colin

You will be fine, might not hurt to get a couple of cans of Wurth brake clean in case you get it on paint next time.

if you spill brake fluid on any part other than the reservoir wash it off immediately with soapy water this should neutralize the fluid so the paint wont be damaged
