Default Fuel Sensor?

A few weeks ago I started to notice a miss as in too much fuel
pouring in and after a bit of spirited driving it seemed to clean itself out. "Italian tune up" Now it's doing it more and more.
Is this the fuel sensor that is below the airbox? Not sure how to explain it but it resembles a brass sundial.

I don't believe it is a CIS car..how do you tell?, late '80. I thought only the Euro's of this same year or so were CIS.

An 80 is almost certainly a CIS - the sundial below the air box confirms it! Do you have a 'box' with eight metal lines running from it to the intakes?

This confirms it, I have CIS injection just like my old '73 911T
Yes the sundial below the air box is what I am thinking could be the gremlin.
Could this be the problem, time to call Roger or Mark?
