Troubleshooting help for HVAC blower
On my 82 the HVAC blower does not work.
I swapped out the relay with a new since I tested it and it did not switch when power was applied. After replacing the relay it was still inop and a couple of days later it started to work. It worked for about two weeks and quit.
If I apply power to the blower directly it works.
If I jumper the relay it works. The fan speed selector works as well when jumpered. I have tested the new relay and it switches when pwoer is applied.
I pulled the CE panel and the connections are good and no bad wires.
Any suggestion as to what to check next.
Thanks Thom

Connections on Fuse #17 - always a trouble spot.
Pull Relay XXI, identify Terminal 86. Turn ignition switch on, HVAC on, and check for battery voltage on Terminal 86 to ground.

I have no power to terminal 86. I read another post where someone replaced the window winder relay and it resolved the problem so I ordered a new seems odd but I will try it for a $7.00 part.
