Safe and reliable so he can drive the car, and get his *** out of DC traffic, to where real driving roads exist.

I have a spare used working CPS you can have. Connector in good condition.

Don't forget ignition swtich can cause similar symptoms.

Fraggle has a silly-scope, and is looking for excuses to use it.

FWIW, this little hand held scope will do anything you need when diagnosing electrical problems, I have used one for years, and $150 well spent..

John V. was gracious enough to "loan" me a known good ignition switch (damn, Im sorry John, have to send that back to you still) which was put in last year. My dash lights still dont work after that job. ugh. No changes to car as far as I can tell, obviously.

I kinda feel like the Benny Hill of 928 owners.

If Landseer is still considering coming up Saturday, Jim could you get that CPS to him? If he thinks mine is bad, I dont have a spare yet.

When you get the parts together to refresh, let me know.

I'm not playing the tack and patch game. This one is too far gone for that.

I wouldn't be surprised if your MAF signal is being interrupted and causing your shut downs, else CPS.
OK. If your willing to help in this "refresh" I am psyched! Call me or send me your number so we can start planning what weeks are good for you. Not that expect more than a day.

Ive got a call out for parts. Waiting for a return call. What else SHOULD I purchase?

So far:
relays X 5 (I just ripped the damn cover off the LH relay AGAIN! Getting the enclosed plastic ones, )

heater control valve with short hose

fuel hoses "kit" with clamps

MAF plug if I can find one.

clamp for airbox electrical plug. (its gone, hopefully not in the intake, never saw it? )

... what else?

Large and small injector seals (gotta replace the short fuel hoses entering each injector if not done previously).
New CPS.
New fuses (all)
Boot for MAF connector.

Not sure condition of your injector electrical plugs and boots? Am assuming they aren't shorting. One takes them all out.

IIRC your fuel pump runs jumpered, but doesn't trigger when car is acting up.

Stall / no start --- pretty much narrows it down to cps, maf plug, grounds that jason cleaned, LH itself (unlikely) or a back of panel melt, else deep harness short that will be interesting for you to find.

They don't look as nice as the aluminum case [53] relays, but the kind with a mounting ear are soooo much easier to R&R.

I've got a brand new cps in mine that could at least be used for testing purposes.

Porken - do ours use the 30 or 40 amp relays? Will these Tyco relays work?

Hi, I have Euro LH and had running problems ones. Car has also reley for EZK and fuel pump so change those! It shold run even if you take MAF-plug of. Clean also 14-pin connector under hood, it can cause problems. 3 connector behind pod must be also connected, otherwise car won't start (in case you have done something around there)

My problems ware in EZK relay that I fixed by using horn relay, midlle in country road

MAF plug shorted will take it down, though.

AFAIK, 30amp is fine. Tyco = Bosch

Note the original [S3] relays have a built in diode to dissipate coil capacitance, but I'm not sure that it's all that important. Nearly all of the relays in my track car are the plain (no diode) tabbed type.

MAF with sanded plug terminals

And MAF plug which is torn but the wires are unmolested. What is at the other end of that MAF plug and where is it?
