Do all S4 cars have an inline Fuel pump??
I have an early (10/86) S4 5.0L US car auto with 89K miles which appears to me that does not have an inline fuel pump...
I was in the middle of replacing my external fuel pump and I decided to check the condition of the internal pump, since a lot of them have the internal broken small hose.
I took a photo of the hose fitting coming out of the fuel tank and it looks completely round with no way to take it out with a 36mm socket, like others have done! All other S4 and later cars I have seen here have two electric prongs and a big socket head...Mine does not have either..

Does this mean that my '87 S4 have ONLY ONE fuel pump (the external one)??
It does not appear to me that the previous owner has even replaced anything under there (besides the fuel filter) and even the external pump looked old and it just died a few weeks ago...
Can anyone confirm if the early 87 S4 cars had only one fuel pump or is there a way to remove the fuel tank fitting I have on my car to check?? BTW, there is no fuel in the tank...
Regards
