Big job on an S4, but I'd almost be inclined to strip off the front covers and thoroughly review the timing belt job. Two data points: the washer nozzle patch and the very loose TB. Should not have been loose, despite the fact the car sat after the job.
Even a receipt with itemized parts doesn't confirm a dealer tech did the work. dealerships in general --- many new parts find their way out the back door or in the trash bin. Again, its the techs manipulating the incentive system, not the dealer intent. Faster to say you did a job then to do it. Faster to button-up something than to wait for the distribution system to provide wear part that wasn't ordered.

There are no 928 knowledgeable techs that work for any dealership. If there are, they wont work on your car anyway because by now they will be senior and doing all the warranty work on new cars. 928+dealer= BIG $$$ and heartache for owner. Never bring your 928 to a dealer, never ever, they do not like 928's or know anything about them.

thanks jerome. i just have so little experience fixing cars i felt like i wouldn't want to screw something up. the last get together was really great. gave me a chance to get my hands a little dirty and know that there are people around who actually know what they are doing in case i have questions.
as for airing this in public...im of two minds. i guess one should give the place a chance to defend themselves but then again, this was work that they put down on paper and charged me for...on a receipt for anyone to see. i think it lets others know what potentially can happen. but if mods think it bad form i would be happy to remove the post.
