Default New rubber seals - white powder removal?

I 'm in the process of replacing my door seals. They new ones have a white powdery finish that I'd like to get rid of. I've heard baby oil, but haven't tried it.

Regardless, I don't want it to be goopy, I just want to make them black like the old ones.

Thanks.

I saw the previous thread about using Dow 111, but not sure if that's really what I'm looking for, since I don' want the slime associated with something like that. Never used that stuff before, does it stay slimy?

you would use the DC 111 on the outside of the window seal along the bottom edge of the window opening, yes it stays slimy but the idea is to put on a shmear then let the sun bake it in after a few weeks wipe it off, your rubber will become soft again and be more resistant to cracking
