Default Exterior Temperature Display - Calibrate?

The temperature display on my GTS does not match actual temperature.

Is there anything that can be done to correct that?

Hmm is the sensor ticking out of the mirror as it should? Or is it simply 100 degrees F where you live

Well, the tip is supposed to stick out a few (2-3) mm from under the mirror. There is a hole in the underside of the mirror housing.

Mine varies wildly depending on sun or shade.

I park in a garage at work and it will show like 85 when I leave for lunch, then if I park in full sun and get back in the car later it will be 110 or something (ambient is say 95) ...

My sensor is properly mounted (driver's side mirror). That was the first thing I checked when I was trying to resolve the issue.

The temperature reading will often show 10 - 20 degrees lower than the actual outside temp.

Other times it reads correctly.

On page 8 of the "Diagnosis of the Instrument Cluster" Service Manual it does mention it can be calibrated. Randy if you don't have the PDF I can send it to you.

Awesome - that would be great if you could.

I'll then post the PDF to my web space and link it in this thread for others to use.

What is the temp sensor located under the driver front fender in the hose going to the alternator.
