New owner hello: Baltic Blue 928 in UK
Hi folks,
Hope this is OK me posting here for the first time to introduce myself, now that as of yesterday I am the proud owner of a Baltic Blue 1990 UK S4.
I have already compiled a list of things that need doing, 16 points in total so far, ranging from niggles like "passenger side mirror does not work" to potentially more interesting ones such as "PSD switched off warning message", yes I am looking forward to a productive winter
Borrowing pics for the moment from the seller's ebay auction.
Other than the 928 I also own a US-spec VW Corrado G60 (yes, with the automatic seatbelts), full committee member of the Corrado Club of Great Britain, in charge of organising events this side of the big pond.
Then there is my favourite of the bunch of my cars, a custom Rieger bodykitted Mk1 Scirocco.
My homepage lists all the cars, of which the Mk2 Storm Scirocco is being sold this Saturday, when I shall be driving the Storm all the way to its new home in Germany.
My homepage also tells a bit about myself In case it's useful, I live in the UK, speak English, German and Dutch fluently, regularly visit meets and friends that I have made throughout the years thanks to my car hobby on both sides of the little pond (English Channel ).
The FAQs here have been very useful in helping me shark-hunt, so big thanks to the authors/creators of said very useful documents
Hoping to be here a little bit more often.

Seems like a good find and really like the contrasting piping on the seats, keep her in good condition and you are going to grin every time you drive!

Eric!!!
Massive congratulations, great colour combination. Welcome to the world of RWD, love to know your driving opinions compared to the Corrado. What did Dirk say, has he been tempted to the dark side as well?
ps buy a mitivac if you don't already have one - you will need it eventually.....
Cheers,
Steve

Wow, thanks for the friendly welcome here chaps
The clean interior plus the colour were admittedly 2 decisive factors plus the low mileage. That interior will be cleaned further in due course, not quite as clean as I would like it yet
Hi Steve, good to meet you at last on another forum (reminded me the other day of a certain avatar you used to have on the Corrado Club forum
So far I haven't really dared to push my shark too much yet. Need to get used to having twice the number of ponies under my right foot compared to my Rado first. It does feel a lot heavier, though, so will need to build up confidence in its handling, which I have read it has plenty of capabilities despite its weight.
Gagging for emails from me at the moment And yes, he does want one, but is also considering an 850, just to be a bit different. Let's see how that all pans out. Need to get him over here for some test drives first, erm, nope, need to get myself over to Germany for some test runs
Oops, sorry, noob alert: What's one of those needed for on the 928? Is it mainly for coolant extraction (just did a quick search here on the forum)? Guess it all doesn't quite work (fluid changes that is) like on a Corrado or Scirocco then
