Default What is most likely to fail?

IMy 86 will fire...but today we removed the cap on the fuel rails... doesn't seem to be holding pressure. New fuel pump, strainer, filter. How much pressure should the fuel rails be running? Since the car doesn't fire back up after running awhile until it sits about 30-40 mins. But once it has rested it will fire back up. We've been thinking it must be down to a fuel acumulator or a fuel regulator. To be honest, I'm unsure if it has one or both. So I ask anyone who has had problems with fuel staying in the rails...is it a fuel reg or Acumulator I should look to try and replace. I wish I had a good refrence pic to know what I'm looking at in the engine bay. I'm thinking one of them has to go more than the other and who might know best but the other 928 owners. Thanks in advance for all suggestions.

No accumulator. You have a pressure regulator and 2 dampers. Reg is at the aft end of the right (passenger) fuel rail. Dampers are at the front and aft end of left (drivers) side rail. Any or all could have bad diaphragms and leaking. Pull the vac line off each unit and smell for the presance of fuel. You can also vac test with a hand vac pump to see if each unit holds a vacuum. If you have a bad diaphragm in any one it will allow the pressure to bleed off after shut down. It will also make for a very rich hot start condition, which could account for your restart issues. Fuel pressure for the 86 should be roughly 35 psi.

Wow I thought they would have had at least 45 psi in the fuel rail.
What should my 89 have?

87 on is approximately 55 psi. 87 FPR will bolt up to 85-86 rail and work with porken's S300 chip set. 88 on uses a different configuration rail mount.

"I could've had a {3}8"

(3.8 bar = 55 psi)
