Hey folks. Wanted to step in and say hello! I'm not a 928 owner yet but I am looking for just the right car to add to my list of bad habits.

I fear I may be a bit different than some others here in that I am looking for a 928 to run in 24 Hours of Lemons and other such low dollar racing series. I would have never given it much consideration if not aggressively recruited by one MrIcemanG who to get with the program and find a shark to race. As such here I am.

Thus far I have made it a point to follow his lead and am looking for an early 928 with an auto. A stick would be nice but I think the big Benz auto should be dead reliable and easy to drive when we are in hour 18 or so at Nelson Ledges with the sun just starting to come up. We also have a CIS specialist on the team which makes the 78-79 cars just that much better looking in my mind.

I considered a number of other cars but the style, grace and coolness of the big ole P-car is just way too sexy for me to pass on. We only live one right?!

So, who has a $500 928 for me?

On a more serious note, I hope that I may be able to lean on one or two of you for an ear at times and maybe a knowledgeable eye to cast on a car that I may be considering long distance.

I'm putting a Lemons team together also, so if there is a second 928 for $500, I'm in!

 

Were you also recruited by Brian into all of this nonsense?

We are actually pretty close in Lemons terms, as such we should chat!

As I recall there is another team around Denver that just started up so there may be a 928 wave about to hit Lemons?

 

Makes little difference what you PAY for a Lemons 928 because the powers that be are not going to believe you anyway......
