Well....that's a convenient location!
They probably ran out of bolts strong enough to hold any more grounds together at the ground point under the steering column!
(It's funny how when you look at that ground point through the years Porsche just kept adding grounds!)

Yes, like most of my simple DIY's it became a big project. (I am trying to figure out why the fuse for the center console lights is blowing.) Anyway, it's good to share a little experience with the Rennlisters who may have been hoping to get at that ground without too much surgery. Sigh.
