Evans NPG solves a very specific problem afaik.

Coolant vaporizing at the very hot water jacket of the exhaust valve.

NPG doesn't vaporize and therefore efficiently cools this area where some cylinder head designs (eg chevy small blocks) can cause traditional coolant to boil.

This guards against detonation. I've never have this problem in my 928.

I've also read that NPG allows the coolant to run hotter without the engine overheating, thereby allowing fleet vehicles (ie diesel trucks) to save fuel costs. I understand the practice there is that less energy is needed to run the radiator fan.

If you've modified your engine and you have a detonation problem, I'd give it a try!

Been looking at No-Rosion with straight water trying anything to keep this cool in the summer.

Being thicker, this adds load to your timing belt.

Seems like a good factory radiator and standard coolant should be the first options, unless you have done something to increase the heat output of the engine.

Fixing what's wrong might work.

One major difference you have living in Florida, over the furnace heat of Nevada, is humidity. Plus the blower. It's dry as a bone here in summer, but if it rains it's a different story. As you know, all that moisture, plus the increase in cylinder pressure translates to heat.

My Pantera, used to overheat till went to water injection, and running strait water, plus water wetter in the cooling system. Also had a 5 core custom built Fluidyne radiator, and oil coolers. The Polecat has a blown 572 BBC, nitro motor. I'm going to be trying the No-Rosin products in your earlier post. There's no way I would run waterless coolant in either my 928 or the Pantera.

I'm about to try the Aussie version of Evans, LiquidIntelligence115. I've been testing the cooling system on straight water after replacing everything that can be replaced, including a 3600CFM front fan and a 10" rear puller fan. 10" is all I can fit in with the supercharger and a decent shroud to mount it as far back from the radiator as I can, so the fan hub is not an obstruction. I took out the 2 x 8" fans that came with the SC kit because they are all hub and restrict radiator air flow in my opinion. For the first time she now runs with the needle on the first mark and even in heavy trafic it has not gone up past horizontal. Fitted an extra temp sender into the water bridge to trigger the 10" fan.

They aren't brave enough to put their name on it but like most stuff now days, it's made in China.
This is what the seller [in Sydney Aust] claims;
LATEST DESIGN 10"inch S BLADE STYLE ELECTRIC FAN
2750cfm - DRAWING ONLY 7.0 AMPS
These Electric Cooling Fans are ideal for OEM and High Performance applications.
The "S" BLADE is the most efficent, not to mention the quiestest fan on the market
SIZE: 280mm x 290mm x 53mm High excluding the bearing button, its also the latest 6 blade design.
Anyway, so far so good and it does run quietly.
It's all pretty expensive, Evans or 115. I paid AU$400 for 20 litres but that's for life [unless I hit a roo]. Flushing every 2 years and adding coolant additives soon adds up as well.

Use a couple fans with a shroud that covers the entire radiator!

I thought of the shroud option but not sure I would have the expertise to fabricate one.

Wouldn't that be a luxury, if there wasn't stinking great supercharger in the way.
My other 86ROW which is stock, is in the process of getting an 18" dual speed Lincoln fan fitted into the stock shroud. It will be powered by a fine Texan relay set.

Why not contact V12s cooling fan systems. They made the fans for my Pantera, and the craftsmanship is excelent.

v12s already make a fan system for the 928.
