Default Where are all the Porsche's in Florida?

I just got back from a 7 day vacation in the Orlando area. To my great surprise I saw a total of one Porsche the entire time-and that was a newer 911. Dozens of Vettes. I am sure there are plenty of Porsche's around there so it was probably more fluke than anything. I was just looking forward to spotting a few watercooled classics on the road.

Well, it's been raining every day lately so that may have kept a bunch in the garage.

I was gonna say: Probably in the garage till the sun goes down. That Florida sun is a KILLER.

Head down and through Miami and Coconut Grove in the late afternoon and evening and you couldn't swing a dead alligator without hitting one.

Orlando is tourist city, doubt many vacationers would drive their Porsche to that area... and locals know better than to drive around town in late June.. too damn hot

As far as early 911's they start rusting as soon as they are out of the garage, my 928 did better. I grew up in Orlando, and my 911 rusted pretty badly, so most folks are careful, but I assure you there are many Porsches in the Orlando area.

They are all stopped in a single line at most redlights in the Tampa Bay area, or you can check here:

I did consider that a rainy week might have kept a lot in the garage but why so many vettes out then? I wonder if the vette people just do not care that much about their cars, or are there just that many more vettes in the area? When we were in Cocoa Beach for a few days it seems like I saw a vette every hour.

Mine is in Fort Lauderdale, red S4, loud exhaust : ) ... I drive it daily and even in the heat my temp never goes beyond a little more the 1/4... guess I am lucky...
