When I had my 90GT due to weather I put some higher treadwear rated all season tires on her one winter when my Bridgestone Polepositions couldn't handle the cold. I did all four corners, however...What I found was...the lower traction of the higher treadwear rated all season tires wore even quicker than the lower rated. I assume it was due to more wheel spin from lower traction.

Really/wow. Over here we sometimes have trouble getting newer tires passed safety inspection because "they are not approved by Porsche"

Right that is one of the big issues about shipping cars into Germany from the U S so many will fail the TUV standards inspections. Poor quality repairs and rusted out bodies....
