I voted no. When these first started coming out on new cars, I thought they looked great and considered converting them. Now any old pimped up beater is running these and they are about as tricked out as the lambo doors.

77Tony,
pictures:
I wired the lights into my fog light pod switch (to allow control) with a relay to turn off when main lights come on (local rules). Each is attached with a small plug to allow complete removal of the light front.
Everything is totally reversible to bring back to stock if required.

Quite a long previous post on the same subject.
I reaaly like the original posters solution.
You will see a lot more of these on new Euro cars
as I think they are now mandatoryy on new cars from 2011.

I voted no. I'd not add a strip because I think it will inevitably look just added on. There isn't really a great place to do this on a 928 because there is no real provision for it.
I would (and probably will) add an LED running light inside the fogs (where ROW cars have an amber incandescent bulb). This is a project on the back burner - getting a set of ROW Fog/Drv lights swapped in. I already have the lamps and they are already modified for an amber LED running light to go together with a DRL project. But this is a very expensive option for a USA car...

If you could make it look stock, then I would vote yes. However, I haven't seen anything so far that looks like more than a cheap flexible strip of LEDs glued/taped down. It might look ok at night, but not during the day.

Thank you for the pics 928Myles. They do look added on especially when off. IMHO, might look better in the cool white vs the warm white ? It seems most would like for these LED's to be hidden when not on, so placement would be the key. Again, maybe down low in the corners under the bumper, just above the front skidplate. Below are the side emitting versions that might work, and should not be obvious when off, and can be cut to length. T

Yes,
where to put them so they are concealed is a problem.
Mounting them lower (for me) defeated the primary purpose of increasing visibility. I did make up a block of 5mm LED's to mount inside the lense but no non-permanent method of attachment seemed to last due to vibration and/or heat. I did consider trying to mount them inside the main lights at the top when they sit flat but again couldn't formulate an attachment method. Might have another look at it when I dismantle the lights to do som R&R on them.
The LED's are amber by choice as my experience was that they provided more visibility under certain light conditions.
