Driver door window motor-salvage or replace?

Coolio Dan & Glenn thanks for the tips. After last night's dousing with contact cleaner the driver's side mirror worked in 3 of the 4 directions! Pretty cool for zero effort, but I think I'll bring the joystick inside & have a go at the innards later. Any quick tips on getting to the mirror motor? Hadn't even thought about going there...
@Glenn-I'm amazed by the automotive applications of QTips so far!
@Dan-You nailed it, the seal at the lower rear corner of the driver window is crap. There's nice size chunk missing. I've only had it 6 months, and it has never seen rain on my watch. It has the honored spot in my one car garage. (right next to the red tool cart!)
