With 5.7 liters of displacement and 15 psi I certainly hope it's well over 400whp. Should be more like 600...

This car was discussed previously-- maybe a year or two ago. Agree the power figure seems mighty low for a 5.7 under that much boost.

Gawd that looks like a dog's breakfast under the hood! The car doesn't look too bad otherwise, has a really nice interior! Wonder what it would cost to put a proper S4 engine in there, and if it is even possible after all that bastardization.

Why do people do SBC swaps in 928's?? The simplicity of a chev engine? The people who farm out the work of maintaining the 928 seem to tout the reduced cost of labor, is this a true statement in most cases? I just don't get why the odd 928 has to be bastardized. Also, the SBC is a mass produced 1955 design, to me it's a downgrade.

I like the shadow flames paint job......the 15psi should make more than 400whp...but thats 500 crank HP and its probably a low CR truck 350 to start with.....

Price isn't bad either....

its just to annoy you

Under hood= failsauce needed for that spaghetti

I cant see this thing not blowing up within a short period of time.. Probably didnt dyno it because he knew it would explode.. nice turbo wheels though

Also neither of these cars are going to hook up worth a damn, I've got 285s (not for long) and my bastard easily lights up the rears in 3rd

Its very easy for somebody that doesn't know much about the 928 to get a very bad opinion of the factory engine, and hear nothing but good stuff about a Chevy 350. Lots of the talk will come from people doing conversions or selling the parts, so they don't hear the down side. If you don't know where to look the cost of replacing a factory motor is like $20k, and even a rebuild done Chevy style (new rotating assembly) is crazy expensive.

50 years ago engine swaps were the mainstay of hot rods, so lots of old glory tales of this or that swap and how it was the fastest thing in town etc.

A fair number of engine swaps work REALLY well, and some of the 928 swaps are pretty amazing, but I would have a LOT of fingers left over counting on one hand the number of them that ended well and cost less than $25k.

I was trying to figure out what kind of junk had smeared on my monitor, then it kept moving with each picture.

No, say it isn't so! GHOST FLAMES!

Edit: I am guessing the conversion is a result of an engine fire. Spray painted engine bay (look at the firewall and brake lines), ghost flames (to cover up damaged paint?), sound deadening removed from the firewall, etc.
