You guy's crack me up. Ebay browsing as entertainment.
I have to say the first pic of the interior from the open drivers door of the 1st car in this thread posted by Jadz is the equal of the best shot I have seen of a stock 928 interior. Those sport seats look immaculate. awesome photo. Perfect shot, looks like it could have been taken in 1985.
And the constant knocking of price/value. Look at what mundane everyday ****boxes cost these days. A cosmetically decent, mechanically fixable 928 should be worth a decent sum. Very few out there and a work of art.

Operative word is fixable.
By whom and for how much?
The cost of 928 ownership is far, far higher than a non-DIY'r can handle.
Plus, even if its sorted now, it won't be forever. High prices are nonsense if the candidate vehicle isn't spectacular.

But the rest of your post could be said of any classic sports car, all 80's and 90's ferrari's, E-type jags, classic 911's, ..................
928 is a better car than those ................ why is it always assumed that a 928 ends up with the destitute by owners and non-owners alike, it has become somewhat of a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I think another operative word is: Demand.
Just not enough demand for the 928 to drive up the prices. We are all here because we love them but, it seems to me that in "Car World" there are just not a lot of people looking for them. Everyone wants Bore-vettes or Mustangs. In the P-car world it's the 911 or 356.
Personally, I would love for both of the sellers of the mentioned cars in this thread, to legitimately get 10, 12, or 14K + for them. But, from what I've been seeing since I've joined the Shark tank, it can only happen on pristine examples.
Not really "Knocking" just being realistic, I guess.
